Unit-4- Social Change- Nature, factors, & Theories of Social Change; Cultural Lag, Social Change, Modernity and Development; Globalization and Social Change

Unit-5-Social Stratification and Social Mobility-Class Stratification; Gender Stratification; Types, Factors & Consequences of Social Mobility, Ethnic Stratification



PSYCHOLOGY:

Unit-1- Introduction to Psychology: Concept and Definition, Approaches to Psychology. Subfields of Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, Educational, Developmental, Health Psychology, Environmental Psychology)

Unit-2- Stress: Concept and Definition: Theories of Stress, Models of Stress, Organizational Stress; Defence Mechanisms.

Unit -3- Motivation: Definition, Theories of Motivation, Measurement of Motivation

Unit-4- Personality: Concept and Definition and Theories of Personality.

Unit-5- Attention and Perception: Nature, Perceptual Organization, Role of Experience in Perception, Sensory and Extra Sensory Perception.


ECONOMICS

Unit -1 Concept, Meaning, and definition of Economics: methods of economic analysis, 
Capital, Factors of production, Utility, Government, Household, Firm, Value, Production, 
Consumption, Micro and Macro Economics, Economic Problem, Consumption decision 
description of preferences.

Unit-2 Types of Economy
a. Capitalist or free enterprise economy 
b. Socialist or centrally Planned economy 
c. Mixed economy

Unit-3 Market and price determination: demand and supply, Commercialization of 
agriculture’ Money and Credit, Banking System, labour supply and saving decision, function of 
money, quantity theories of money, determination of money supply and demand, credit creation 
tools of monetary policy.

Unit-4 Determination of Income & Employment: nature of unemployment; causes of 
unemployment, measures to check unemployment.

Unit -5 Digitalization and Indian Economy: Current challenges faced by Indian economy 
(especially poverty), Sustainable economic development
